The project consisted of one storey back extension, loft conversion with erection of two dormers and full internal refurbishment as well as an outbuilding.
At ground floor we have created an open plan layout with glazed roof and large sliding glazed door to the back. As a result the space is filled with natural light, seamlessly blending into the outdoor area.
The high-end kitchen is fitted with an outstanding 'Bianco Venato' Marble top. The marble slabs were carefully selected and sourced directly from a quarry in Italy. The slabs were then cut and arranged into a 'book match' pattern.
The original features of this Victorian building, located in conservation area, were kept where possible. Any new woodwork was carefully designed to match the period features such as paneled doors, wall panneling and cornices.
We think the contemporary kitchen and Zinc cladded extensions work beautifully in contrast with the period original building.
